Dory Musselwhite is currently pursuing the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Music Education. She is a Graduate Teaching Assistant, serving as the instructor of Woodwind Methods and as a practicum supervisor for students in the band area.

 

Ms. Musselwhite received her baccalaureate and master of music education degrees from The University of Georgia. She has studied conducting with John Lynch and Robert Ambrose. She also studied flute with Angela Jones-Reus. Ms. Musselwhite has served as a clinician and adjudicator throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta area.

 

Prior to her current appointment, she taught in Gwinnett County for three years as Assistant Band Director and Director of Choral Activities at Central Gwinnett High School. In addition, she was an instructor of special education classes in mathematics. Before teaching in Gwinnett, she was the Band Director at North Whitfield Middle School in Dalton, Georgia, and also served as an assistant at Northwest Whitfield High School. Ms. Musselwhite maintains professional memberships with the Georgia Music Educators Association, the National Bandmasters Association, and the National Association for Music Education. She is an alumna member of Sigma Alpha Iota.

 

Jared K. Register is a doctoral student at The University of Georgia, where he teaches class voice for music majors and non-majors, as well as, seminars in the introduction to music education, secondary choral methods, elementary music methods, and music for the early childhood educator. He also serves as director of chancel music at Madison First United Methodist Church. 
 
Register's conducting experience includes public school, community musical theater, and church music, where his students received superior ratings at LGPE and juried invitation to National & Southern Division ACDA Honor Choirs. Prior to UGA, Register was Director of Music at Pittman Park United Methodist Church, Choral Director at Morgan County Middle School in Madison, Georgia, Director of Children's Music at Madison First United Methodist Church, and Chorus Master at Madison Community Theater. 
 
Register holds the Master of Music degree in choral conducting from Georgia Southern University. At UGA he is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree, where he studies music education and choral conducting. 

Ashley Wilson earned her bachelors degree in music education from Eastern Kentucky University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2015. While there, she studied piano with Dr. Richard Crosby and was active in many ensembles including the EKU Marching Colonels and EKU wind bands, where she played clarinet, as well as the EKU concert choir.

 

Her teaching experience includes 4 years of private and group piano instruction through EKU’s Foster Academy of Musical Excellence and the Richmond Area Arts Council, an after-school music and art program formed in collaboration with the Madison County, Kentucky school system. Ms. Wilson’s research in piano pedagogy has been presented at the Kentucky Music Teacher’s association.

 

For the past 3 years, she has taught small instrumental ensembles as well as group and private piano lessons for EKU’s annual summer camp, Foster Camp, which serves aspiring young musicians from across the country. During her student teaching semester, Ms. Wilson co-conducted both an elementary Orff ensemble and an elementary choir—two experiences that fortified her decision to specialize in elementary music education as a graduate student. 

 

A native of Seattle, Washington, Damon Postle is a conductor and educator alike. Damon holds a Master of Music degree in Conducting from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina and a Bachelor of Music degree in Instrumental Music Education from the University of Hartford, Hartt School in West Hartford, Connecticut.

 

Damon began his teaching career in South Windsor, Connecticut teaching K-5 general music plus beginning band and orchestra. He also taught K-5 general music in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Public Schools in Charlotte, North Carolina before serving as Director of Bands at Trinity Episcopal School, also in Charlotte.

 

In addition to teaching, Damon is an active conductor of musical theatre and operates a theatre company in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife Megan. Recent productions include “Into the Woods”, “Avenue Q”, “The Sound of Music”, “The Music Man” and Disney’s “Aladdin”.
